Shift Leader Maintenance

We are now looking for an engaged and inspiring shift leader for our unit within engine machining at Scania Industrial Maintenance (IM). We are looking for someone with a strong interest in coordinating and organizing resources to ensure quality maintenance.

As a shift leader with us, you will have a leadership role in production maintenance, and your main responsibility is to lead and plan the operational part of the business so that our skilled technicians have all the conditions to succeed every day. The work involves managing both preventive and corrective maintenance. In this role, you will work closely with our customer and focus on achieving our common productivity goals.

Your Responsibilities

As a Shift Leader in Maintenance at Engine Machining, your overall mission is to actively plan, assign, and follow up on maintenance jobs and other tasks to achieve the overall goals of the business. You prioritize resources based on the current situation and ensure the quality of delivery. When the group manager is not present, you will lead weekly meetings and similar activities in their place.

The most important task is to help technicians succeed in their assignments every day. You create a positive and supportive work environment where everyone feels valued and motivated. Safety is our top priority, and together with your team, you work towards a good working environment where you are an active participant in improvement work. You contribute to implementing the strategic plan and actively work towards achieving the department's operational goals.

Your Profile

We are looking for a collaborative, structured, and stable shift leader. You have several years of experience in maintenance work, and you possess good communication skills and adapt to find win-win solutions. You enjoy working systematically with processes and handle stress constructively. You take initiative and drive your tasks all the way to completion.

We also see that you have:

  • a technical education at the high school level
  • a valid driver's license (B)
  • good knowledge of SPS methods
  • good knowledge of maintenance systems, preferably Maximo
  • good computer skills

Additional Information

The position is full-time and permanent, located in Södertälje. Shift work is required.
